Toothill Nursery

The Nursery offers high quality early years provision in spacious, well-resourced accommodation in its own secure, landscaped area within the school grounds.

Children can attend for five days a week on a part-time basis, attending for the morning sessions (08.30 – 11.30) or

afternoon sessions (12.00 – 3.00).

We are able to offer a lunch club and full day sessions which need to be booked and paid for in advance.  See class room or school office staff for further details.

The unit is staffed by a qualified teacher, a nursery nurse and an Educational Support Assistant.  This gives an adult to pupil ration of approximately 1 to 9 (the legal requirement is 1 to 13).  This is often supplemented by nursery nurse students on placement from Swindon College.

The curriculum offered in the Nursery is designed to lay the foundation for the children to achieve the Early Learning Goals as described in the curriculum section.  This involves children in a wide range of activities which are often of a practical nature and involve learning through play.
